This is an awesome beach! There is a nice size parking lot and it's an easy walk to the beach. There aren't any sand dunes to climb over or stairs. If your bringing a lot of beach junk it's perfect. They had a plastic mat to walk on the first day we were there but then they took the mat away. Probably because it was the middle of September and the season is almost over. The only bad thing is the porta potties. They're pretty gross.
This is a great beach, great ocean beach with decent waves for boogie boarding, and a today pool with warm water for the little kids to play in. Lots of parking.
Beautiful beach! You can come here if you are at the local campground and really enjoy a nice nice. You can have fires on the beach with a permit. It was great! The tide changes, at least around Memorial Day, were AMAZING! The water really goes out far and comes back way in! Water can be very cold until pretty late in the season!
Saw a large herd of seals. Spent hours there today. It was perfect. Weather couldn't have been better. Beach was empty. Long hike to see the seals but well worth the trip. Not sure how parking is in season, but off season it was plentiful. Even saw a few hearty souls surfing. Not sure if that's a great idea when there's seals around. Probably sharks there as well.
